Light the way through your Vault.

Persistent memory for Claude, tended by the Keeper.

Lampway is a Claude Desktop Extension that gives Claude persistent memory across every conversation — Chat, Cowork, and Code. The Keeper tends a sovereign Vault on your machine: a folder of plain Markdown you own, accessible through two MCP tools when you talk to Claude.

Runs entirely on your machine — no telemetry, no cookies, no phone-home.

What you get

Sovereign Vault

A folder on your machine that you own. Lampway reads and writes it via MCP tools when you talk to the Keeper. Survives Lampway uninstall. Sync via iCloud, OneDrive, Dropbox, or git — your choice.

Memory across all modes

Save in Chat, recall in Cowork, browse in Code. A single Vault shared across every Claude Desktop surface, plus the Claude Code CLI.

Five Built-in Skills

/introduce walks you through First-run. /capture-thought, /daily-journal, /prep-for-meeting, /weekly-review — slash-command rituals that turn the Vault into a daily habit.

Local dashboard

A visual Vault browser at http://127.0.0.1:PORT (Lampway logs the URL on startup). Two themes (Terminal + Paper), six accent flavors. Read-only in v0.5; reads come straight from disk.

How it works

  1. Download the latest .mcpb bundle from the Releases page.
  2. Drag it into Claude Desktop's Settings → Extensions. The install dialog asks where your Vault should live — pick any folder.
  3. Run /introduce in a new Claude conversation. It walks you through pasting two short templates into Profile Preferences and Cowork Folder Instructions (~2 minutes). After that the Keeper is reachable from every mode — no "Keeper, …" prefix needed.

That's it. Ask the Keeper to remember something. Ask what it knows about you. The answers come from your Vault.
